saw this somewhere in the papers today. by renowned playwright Harold Pinter:

the past is what you remember, imagine you remember, convince yourself you remember, or pretend you remember.

maybe we all choose to manipulate our own past, unchangeable as it may be.

some things we choose to lock and immortalize in delicate memory; others we simply choose to rid away.

like it never happened at all.

we like to say, "oh i forgot". do we really forget? or simply choose not to remember?



anw, macau was......

- canto, canto, and more canto! it was all around me, all over me. i was practically swimming around in it.
- casinos, casinos, and more casinos
- comfortably chilly weather :)
- short ventures into the portugese-infused history of the tiny city
- maybe a teeny weeny bit unexciting (if not for the casinos)
